This is your opportunity to enrich your box collection with a beautiful and unusual vintage Mottahedeh oval brass box. Engraved on the lid is the portrait and signature of the famous Italian opera composer Giuseppe Verdi (full name Giuseppe Fortunio Francesco Verdi), born in Le Roncole, Italy, on December 10, 1813. He died in Milan, Italy, on January 27, 1901. These locations and dates are also engraved on the lid. Verdi was best known for his operas, such as Aida, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Nabucco, Rigoletto and many others. This is a very rare find with great appeal to Verdi operas fans and box collectors. Box dimensions: about 4" x 2 1/2" x 1". Weight: about 5.2 oz. The box is in very good condition with only minor superficial scratches caused by cleaning.
