Description

This listing is for a vintage handmade solid brass canister with hand etched designs on the sides and lid. It is round and the lid has a fancy pointed finial. This canister could be for tea or tobacco or maybe it was a biscuit tin. Lovely piece and you can see on the carvings that they are done by hand and not by machine. I'm not sure of the age, but I think it's from before 1970. Solid Brass Handmade in India Wm. Rogers & Son Canister base is 4 3/8" tall and 5 3/8" wide It weighs 1 lb 3.9 oz This canister has heavy tarnish, but some prefer that aged look so I'll leave it to the buyer to decide whether to polish it or not. The canister has vintage signs of wear from use but no major damage. It's a beautiful piece. Thanks for looking, EKB Vintage
