Description
I am offering this very unique and antique, Victorian era Beveled glass trinket box that measures about 3" x 3" and stands about 2 1/2" tall. This is from the 1880's era and features glass on all sides and lid. The panels are beveled and frosted-etched with scroll designs. The lid features a bird with other frosted etched designs. This box has a brass metal that holds each panel secure and there are 4 small brass decorative feet. The inside bottom is made of tin and is rusted from age. Just needs a little piece if cloth to cover this area. The back hinged area of lid is sligthly bent but lid is still solid and intact. The clasp or hook at the front has a curled piece that probably was supposed to latch but appears to be missing a small piece so that it can latch. The front panel of glass has a tiny nick along the right beveled edge. Overall the trinket box is still very nice considering it's age and looks nicer than my description. A very nice antique piece that is seldom found for sale. Buyer pays shipping with insurance included! Track Page Views With Auctiva's Counter
