Description
Working The sugar bowl lid seems to be shut somehow to the bowl. The Lamp shade is definitely showing signs of aging and yellowing. Stands at a height of 14”. Truly a unique piece acquired at an estate sale. I have not attempted to clean any part of it as to not damage the patina from the age of this beautiful piece. This antique sugar bowl by M.S. Benedict features an Embassy Scroll pattern and a black/blue/ silver aged color. The lamp base is made from the creamer, which is composed of silverplate and has a Quadruple Plate marking. The finial is a Lion's Head and it is in the Victorian style. The item is from the late 18th century, specifically between 1850-1899, and is a one-of-a-kind piece. Perfect for collectors or those who appreciate unique antique pieces, this sugar bowl lamp is sure to be a conversation starter.
