ANTIQUE ENGRAVED SILVER PLATE CONDENSED 'MILK' HOLDER SERVER BROOKLYN TRIPLE PL ANTIQUE ENGRAVED SILVER PLATE CONDENSED 'MILK' HOLDER SERVER BROOKLYN TRIPLE PL Click images to enlarge Description This is a lovely Victorian original triple plate silver condensed milk can holder or server and is bottom stamped Brooklyn Triple Plate Co. This has a single handle, a sculpted finial that looks like a berry, and an attached hinged lid. There is a floral motif engraving on the front with a banner that reads "MILK". The dimensions are about 3-1/8" diameter x 3-5/8" without the lid. The lid adds another 2-1/8" to the height, including the finial. This was designed to hold either an early tin can or glass liner for condensed milk. The hole on the bottom was an aid to place and remove the holder. This could be set on a complimentary or plain silver, crystal or porcelain dish to complete the set. Overall condition is very good, with a few small dings, as shown. A lovely and hard to find Victorian serving piece! Shipping Items paid for late in the day, may not be packed for shipping until the next business day/evening, and leave the following day.
